Praktijkvoorbeeld uit de opleiding Digital Arts and Entertainment
Luna Fierens deelde met ons haar praktijkvoorbeeld rond het geven van feedback via Discord, een tool die binnen de game/IT-wereld zeer gekend is.
“This morning I did a feedback class for 2D for games. During the weekend I let them claim a time slot in an excel sheet and join a discord server. On Sunday evening they had a deadline to hand in their assignment. This morning they were supposed to be present on the discord server. There is a waiting room voice channel, where they wait. If it’s their turn i drag them into the Feedback voice channel. In this channel I live stream my Photoshop and talk to them trough the voice chat. This way feedback becomes a conversation and not a one sided story. In the meantime I live streamed to youtube. There the other students could follow. I already had an account for 2d4games in place because in the first semester we used flipped classroom and Leho couldn’t handle the amount of videos. The video is now on the channel and students have access to it. Everything went smoothly, only in the beginning there was a microphone problem but that was fixed easily. Giving feedback like this is easier than having to cramp yourself between students and pointing at their screen. After this I’ll probably change up giving feedback.”
